Taylor Made Products Review

First up is the new Taylor Made Rossa Imosa 8 putter with ASGI+ insert. This putter is one of the best I have ever used and I say that with confidence. It has a really classic blade type of design, and has a charcoal - black finish - very easy on the eyes. The ASGI+ (Anti Skid Groove Insert) System is as innovative as it comes with putters.

The design is meant to reduce skidding off the putter face, leading to a better speed and line. What's that mean. More made putts! How does it do this? The ASGI+ insert has 14 independent and unique grooves that are designed to drive the ball forward and reduce backspin, effectively increasing the true rolling of the ball. I have tested this against three other popular putters, two made by Ping and one made by Odyssey, two putting giants if you've kept up through the years. I can say from personal experience that the Taylor Made Rossa Imosa 8 is by far the best of the three at not only keeping the ball on line, but also being forgiving if you happen to mis hit a putt.

At $110, this would be a steal to add to your bag.

Next up are the Taylor Made r7 TP irons. The 2007 Golf Digest Hot List Editor's Choice, these clubs are aimed at single digit handicappers desiring a high performing club with a mix of characteristics between a blade and a cavity back iron.

Taylor Made does a great job at mixing these two highly sought after characteristics. The tour configured sole design glides across the grass, avoiding harmful digging into the turf. This leads to straighter shots and less tension on the hands and wrists, and joints in general.

The impact is pristine with these clubs, with sweet spot contact sending an incredibly solid feel to your hands. If you've ever played an iron with a less than solid feel, you know how valuable pure contact is. Off center hits seem to keep their distance relatively well for a club aimed at this skill level. You may lose 5-8 yards depending on the severity of the mis hit, but again, for a club that has a blade type design, that is incredible. The workability of blade is still there. I was able to hit fades and draws very easily on cue with these clubs. At $799, you'll find these to be cheaper than any other set in it's category; no question the best value out right now for the low handicapper.

Taylor Made is quickly becoming not only a driver company, but an iron company, a wedge company, a ball company, and in all just an awesome golf company in general.

These r7 TPs had Project X Rifle shafts in them so we're going to check those out as well. The ball gets up quickly with these shafts and flattens out at the apex. There's a nice mid trajectory throughout the ball flight. Even though the ball gets up fast, these shafts have an overall lower trajectory than most I've hit. Sometimes with a cheaper shaft, you'll get a ballooning effect, but I noticed no ballooning at all on these, even when trying to hit high fades.

The smooth non-tapered design claims more energy to the ball. I have to say I really didn't see any increase in distance compared to any other shaft, but I did notice a good difference in spin control. The ball flight has a green holding ability like no other. In my opinion, this is one of the most advanced iron shafts ever conceived. They've got a higher price tag than most you'll run across, but it's well worth the cost for the performance difference you'll notice.

I always say, if you're going to make the investment to buy new clubs, you may as well save up and spend your money on something that is going to benefit you the most, and last you a long time. Don't cheap on out shafts. They can make or break a club head.

With a recent spate of high-profile data leaks, the need for reliable data security is top-of-mind for many business owners and administrators. And whether the leaks are intentional, unintentional or malicious in nature, an information leak can cost companies millions of dollars and the trust of their clients or partners. In fact, according to the 2006 Cost of Data Breach Study from The Ponemon Institute, in 2006, data breaches cost companies an average total of $4.7, or $182 per customer record lost.

Data Protection: How to Increase Your Data Security
To diminish the risk of a data security breach, companies need an information-centric solution with proven coverage, simplicity, and data protection capabilities. Choosing the right shoe for you is the thing that may save your feet in the near future. Most of the time the person will pick the shoe that looks the best rather then choosing it because it suits them. This type of thinking can lead to severe foot problems in the future.

One more mistake that a lot of people make is buying the running shoe based on the cheapness of the shoe. For example you take up jogging you might be trying to find the cheapest pair. Most likely that shoe you are looking for is not the type of shoe for your feet, which is another good reason to find a shoe that will support your foot. Puppy obedience training and older dog obedience training use a lot of common sense, some understanding of dog pack behavior, and a few simple techniques. I begin with a reminder to you all one of the puppy training tips that I have found to help immensely. Be sure you walk for a few minutes with your dog on a proper heel. Starting him off in the follower position with you in the lead makes it a lot easier on you, and it gets you both in the mode to respect you as the Pack Leader.

With that done, here is a simple way to make your dog familiar with the commands "sit" and "down." Tell the dog "Good sit" as he sits by you looking for affection, and "Good down" when he is lying at your feet after you have had a long day. If he does not seem to understand when you ask him to lie down, push his rear down and work his front paws down. (Obviously, he starts in the sit posture when you do this.)

Command an action from the dog with your hands (or simultaneously with hands and voice). It is easy for him to watch them, and using your hands for direction causes him to respect them. Also, take time to touch and handle all parts of your dog's body often to avoid fear at the vet or any time he needs to be checked over.

To teach your dog to stay, bring him to one spot and tell him to sit. Then say "Stay" and step back a little. Go forward three steps, then five, then ten.

Mix up the amount of steps so the dog cannot predict what you are going to do. If the dog can guess what you will do, he may cheat.

Sit, move forward two steps, and sit again. If the dog cheats or does not stay when you say to, you must take him back to the original spot and start over. If you do not fix the mistakes immediately, you are likely to have a dog that will cheat way too often and not listen to you at all.

dog training is really not hard. It simply is a matter of nailing down a few key points. Here are some more dog training and puppy training tips:

Your dog will not be unhappy with you for telling him what to do. On the contrary, he will be angry and frustrated if you don't!

Always be consistent and follow through in the simplest of things. The little things go a long way. The little things are also remembered.

Do not take it out on your dog if you have had a bad day. It will not help, and it is not his fault. It is better to skip it if you are really ticked.

Always introduce a new command in stages -- one step at a time. Let each step be understood and assimilated before adding more. You want to lead and instruct your pet, not confuse and frustrate him.

If you are having difficulty implementing these dog obedience training steps with any modicum of success, then there may be other dog behavior issues - physical or psychological - that underlie the problem. Ask a dog behaviorist for help. Not just any dog trainer will do. You need someone who will help you understand if it is you, the dog, or both. I know better than to buy the popular myth that "a bad dog is the sign of a bad owner."

Treating Infant Constipation Gently and Safely

In this article we will look at infant constipation treatment and how best to deal with constipation when an infant is suffering from it.

The best way in which any parent could treat an infant who is suffering from constipation is by changing the childs diet. The constipation will not improve without a change of diet and they will also probably be using stool softeners as well.

The goal of any infant constipation treatment is so that the child has 1 or 2 soft stools each day. So why not give them 2 to 4 ounces of water or diluted fruit juice once or twice a day. Or you may want to swap the formula they are drinking at the moment for a soy formula instead.

If however your infant is older than 4 months and suffering from constipation then you may want to try feeding them lots of fiber which are contained in cereals, strained prunes, apricots or spinach.

A great way of helping an infant suffering from constipation is by massaging their stomach. Begin at the belly button and then massage outwards in circles in a clockwise direction. Put some baby oil or cream on your fingers as this will help with the massage. However if your child becomes upset or uncomfortable with the massage then stop it.

Or you try moving your infants legs in a cycling motion whilst they are laid on their backs. Just hold their legs and then gently move them in a quick cycling motion. This will cause the stomach muscles to move and this in turn will put gentle pressure on the infants intestines and make them move.

Another great way of helping an infant suffering from constipation is to give them a warm bath which will help them to relax and thus their stools will be passed more easily. After the bath and when your infant is more relaxed you could try massaging their stomach again. Also after a bath apply some cream or Vaseline to the area around the infants anus. It is important that you do not put a thermometer or anything inside your infants anus to stimulate bowel movement as this will only cause damage to your child.

There are a number of different ways as shown above which can be used for infant constipation treatment and as long as you watch what they eat and ensure that they have plenty of fluids they should not suffer with this problem too much.

The baby Boomer Athlete

Are you a baby Boomer? If you were born between the years of 1946 to 1964, you are part of the 79.1 million Boomers, comprising 29 percent of the total US population. According to the AARP, every seven seconds a baby Boomer turns 50! And, about one-third of Americans who take part in sports activities are Boomers.

As this generation grows older, they are working harder to keep their youth and vitality, are staying active with physical activity, and unfortunately are experiencing more injuries than the generation before them.

A US Consumer Product Safety Commission report states there were 1 million sports injuries to persons between the ages of 35 and 54 in 1998. This is a 33% increase over the same statistics of 1991. While this sounds like distressing news for aging bodies, many sports-related injuries are minor aches, sprains and strains that can be treated or even prevented using self-treatment techniques. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a lifelong athlete, the following suggestions may help you stay limber and relatively pain-free.

Warm-up before stretching or an activity. Muscles that are warm through slow-paced pre-exercise such as jogging or walking, will be less likely to tear.

Stretching before and after exercise. Stay limber and flexible. Stretching is one of the best preventive measures against injury.

Get fitted with the proper shoe. This is a top priority especially for running, hiking, and cross training. Go to a running store with someone on staff who will analyze your walk, arch, and how your foot turns in or out during activity. They will then fit you with a shoe having the right amount of support or cushioning for your particular body type. This alone can substantially reduce the incidence of injury.

Start daily conditioning. Do some type of activity every day to help condition your body for more strenuous weekend exercise.

Try adding low-impact activities to the mix. Such as: Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Elliptical Trainer, Recumbent Cycling, Spinning.

Add strength training to your weekly routine. Stronger muscles mean better joints and a more energized body.

Create a workout program with balance. Combine stretching, strength training and cardiovascular exercises to keep your body in balance.

Use R.I.C.E. If pain does creep into your body after an activity, use the technique of R.I.C.E. immediately to reduce inflammation. Never use heat in the first 48 to 72 hours after an injury occurs, as this will increase swelling and bruising. Rest-Ice-Compression-Elevation can make the difference in a fast, effective recovery from a sprain or strain.

Try massage. For tight, stressed muscles, massage therapy can be a relaxing and helpful treatment for minor pain. Self-message is easy to do on legs, ankles and feet.

Give cognitive behavior therapy a go. This therapy works on the concept that you can reprogram your mind to increase performance or decrease pain triggers, incorporating relaxation and other visualization techniques. Professional athletes have been using it for some time to rehearse a perfect performance in their mind before an event.

Physical activity may produce its own set of challenges for baby Boomers. But inactivity itself is a threat to health. A sedentary lifestyle is associated with an increased risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, osteoporosis, stroke and some cancers. Regular physical exercise helps Boomers strengthen muscles, which in turn stabilizes joints, increases flexibility and keeps age-related diseases at bay. Better to be a buff baby Boomer than a middle-age couch potato!
